Commissioning a painting is an exciting way to take an unclear fragmented vision and turn it into a finished visual thought that harmonizes with you and your life.  Sometimes I’ll start by asking you for one word that really speaks to you on an emotional level and then I’ll create the painting around that to start with.  A brilliant painting is like a mathematical equation  made up of 4 basic elements:

• the line shape and form of the composition

• relationship of color

• relationship of texture

• the energy, emotion and story

Owning a custom original artwork made especially for you and your interior will not only add interest to a room but it will truly bring your space to life.

My job is to interpret and create something original from your vision. My commissions come into being as a result of an intuitive process of layering and exploration. This way, each work is unique with only you in mind.  Generally I like to work very closely with my clients so we stay on the same page.  The painting is finished when you love it.  

The commissioning process:

• We have an initial meeting to discuss ideas and preferences, size, color and personal elements that you might like me to interpret. This will take place in your home, my studio or even in a phone conversation.   

• Once we agree on a price a 50% deposit secures the commission.  The balance is paid when it’s finished and you love it.  Delivery and installation  is part of the service at no charge.

• Time scale is 1-3 months depending on the commission requirements.

• Due to the way I work paintings undergo many changes and are composed of many layers.

• My paintings are priced by size. I have my canvases stretched on linen so I can custom create pretty much anything your heart desires.
